a bit of friday randomness

It is drug day -- infusion over with, and mostly without incident, although i am reminded again (still) of the arrogance and self-absorption of my pain doctor...  this time his graciousness-test has me thinking i will be asking "what else is possible?" -- he is the only person in the Supportive Medicine side of this clinic, but if i haven't risen to the point of human in his eyes in over a year, doubt that is EVER going to happen... so sad, but i refuse to take it personally and if it means i have to travel elsewhere for part of my care then so be it!

i wish HE was retiring instead of my oncologist! :) mutter-mutter, mutter! but perhaps his behavior is an indication that he is nearing the end of his rope with work/patients and will also retire, soon enough...

I took a quiz: here's the result...
in the easily-amused department (after i regained most of my calm demeanor from the saga this morning) i just took this online "are you privileged?" quiz...  can't say i agree with the results.  i think i am profoundly priviledged... not only for the awesome wealth and abundance of this country, but also for the time in history that i am experiencing...  lucky, lucky duck!

quilt guild met this week -- learned some new tricks that i could apply to a quilt, if only i didn't have a grundle of other ones already "in the queue" -- currently just started on a cat one.  sent the grey one off to the UK... I was both sad and a little embarrassed at its flaws, and then i told myself it is part of the charm of handmade items -- obviously i couldn't change the fact that the stitcher's needle was dull/burred and it pulled threads throughout -- i kept thinking "RUINED!!" until i calmed myself down and said it was not ideal but still serviceable... it's just particularly sad when i am planning a gift and it doesn't come out as pristine as i had hoped... :(

zoo day this week with friends -- enjoyed the company immensely... baby Cole slept through the walk, but we were still glad to have him along for the experience!

I went to STG's anniversary party last evening -- it was amusing to see my chemo-headed self in the video, turning up my nose at a half-eaten donut... great to see people i don't get to interact with a lot these days.  it makes me hopeful and nice to reminisce
