So, i was pretty close to a broken neck, but otherwise no problems!! Alas, plenty of inconveniences, some more impactful than others.
Recent inconveniences added to the mix:
- the bank withdrew their conditional approval of my mortgage application, because of the decline in my income between 2012 and 2013.
- since this is newish news, i haven't decided what to do next
- i could try another institution... smaller with different restrictions
- i could look for a program that supports cancer survivors in obtaining loans
- i could look for a rental instead of a purchase
- i could stay in my current location and focus on income/savings and then try again to purchase @ some point in the future
- the sleep study results were not good. the new pain doctor prescribed nighttime oxygen therapy for me. it is noisy and disruptive to the process of going to sleep, but it definitely makes me look healthier in the mornings and more alert
- i asked today if i could eliminate morphine & then oxygen and she says not likely
- i do get to play with whether i can tolerate no morphine at night while continuing to use during the day
- it is possible that at some unspecified time in the future i could do a full sleep study and either keep the oxygen or move to a CPAP machine or eliminate it all
- no river trip for me, because i am now depended on an outlet... i guess i could try to take a generator with me too, but that seems just a bit overwhelming! LOL
- happily, the firm that supplies the concentrator is nationwide and will let me arrange for a unit where i plan to be for a time
- so i have some added logistics on domestic travel, but not totally restricted
