| Zermatt pond |
I really liked walking by this pond, watching the dragonflies and the muskrat (or similar creature) harvesting the vegetation and swimming it into storage... made me hopeful its family won't starve this coming winter.... :)
so it was a three-day event, with trunk shows and classes, a small market/contest. i was silly and put ALL the classes i signed up for on one jammed 12 1/2 hour day... had time for lunch (barely) and snacked for dinner... and by the time i was through the last class i really didn't care whether i ate or not -- bed was calling...
there were several new instances of graciousness practice and new opportunities to be kind to myself, i have a couple more half-finished projects, a bit of new fabric (door prizes)... and a treasured new friend... amazing process of enjoying someone from the moment they choose to talk to me! :) Marion McClellan made me smile so many times!

| fundraiser blocks |
For a fundraiser next spring, the guild in California is building a colorwash quilt of leaves in autumn colors against blue backgrounds... since i'm still a member, i decided to contribute as requested -- i know Holly who will assemble and then quilt the result. I will be excited to see how it all comes together... i didn't like one of mine, but Holly said they are all fine and she plans to use all the ones that are collected, either in the primary quilt or in a "little sister" version
