So i would say i was out of work, but that's not strictly true... what's strictly true is that i don't have assigned tasks so i'm "off the clock" but haven't turned in my stuff and officially walked away...
so in limbo... or on an unplanned vacation... and many government workers are doing furlough so they will certainly appreciate my situation...
so it's SUMMER and i have a quilt to work on... and plenty of food in the pantry, and air conditioning...
so perhaps my stress monkeys can quit chattering for a few weeks at leas until clarity reigns, then i can take the next step as necessary
BONUS, I have a list of things to do, some of which i have been deferring because i was already taking so much time off for cancer-related stuff...
BONUS, I already had a week in the mountains planned for August
Waking up in the night about "out of work", it was good to think about
how employable i am/not (anxious for the hair to grow just a bit more
and need to get the energy levels up -- don't know what to do about
either but have patience!) I guess some new assignments could be part
time, and some employers will look beyond the hair to the value add i
can bring to their work.... OR i could have the humbling experience of being passed over for their fears of my frailties...
in the end, if i am going to believe "the universe is on my side"... i can continue to weave this experience into the tapestry of my journey just as it comes...
so, so, sew!
