it took me ALL DAY to pack...
but on the good side, that is all that i had on my agenda that had to get done, and the myriad distractions along the way {like "ooh, i really should clean my bathrooms before i wander..." OR "look at all these veggies, you should roast and freeze what you don't eat"} will be a blessing when i return.
when i was at the cancer center Friday, i told the nurse caught in the midst of my pain doctor drama last time that i was no longer seeing Dr. M -- her response was "Good!" -- still believing it was the right choice, but want to meet the new lady before i breathe a total sigh of relief.
"Spot consulting" taking me to Cali again... worried about adding enough value on this trip, but then i remember, yet again, all i can so is show up for the experience one day at a time. excited to see the ocean again -- and perhaps a sea otter or harbor seal (although pupping season should be winding down, there are usually some in the neighborhood all the time)
lots of social sweetness in the week that just passed -- delightful conversation with a colleague in Virginia, dinner with my friend Mary, dinner with a Ozzie couple my sis/b-i-l are friends with, email threads aplenty.
no progress on the where-next-to-live front... some days i think my astonishingly-beautiful apartment in Pacific Grove has encouraged me to a "meh" response to what options are available to me. i will just keep trying to be clear and patient and may need a reminder that the universe is on my side in this too, as with all aspects of my experience.
It made me smile to follow Facebook's casual Mother's Day tradition of changing my profile pictures to my mom...
